Seeking God's Will Should Be the First Impulse
Before a dangerous journey, Ezra chose to fast and pray rather than ask the king for soldiers. Depending on God should be our first impulse.
There, by the Ahava Canal, I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.
Before a dangerous journey, Ezra chose to fast and pray for protection rather than asking the king for soldiers. He demonstrated that depending on God and seeking His will should be our first impulse.
Seek His direction first
When you seek direction from the Holy Spirit, the journey will be made in His complete will.
Today, choose to seek God's blessing and protection at the start of any life endeavour or transition.
Prayer
“Lord, I humble myself before You and ask that You illuminate my path. Remove confusion and show me the exact, right way to go in my life, my career, and my relationships. In Jesus' Name, Amen.”
